This course is designed to prepare students for various employment options in the automotive repair industry. Curriculum focuses on preparing students to pass ASE certification exams for G1, A5, and A6. By focusing in depth on general maintenance, brakes, and electrical systems, students attain a good working knowledge of three vital auto technician areas and become employable in a variety of shop settings.

Class meets for direct instruction and hands-on lab for 18 weeks on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights 5:00pm-9:00pm and Saturdays 10:00am-2:00pm. Also, MCAS Automotive Maintenance is a hybrid program. The program requires 10-12 hours of online and home study per week in addition to the weekly classes.

REFUND POLICY: Students have the right to cancel enrollment in a Monrovia Community Adult School (MCAS) class and obtain a refund of fees paid, as long as the cancellation is made prior to the scheduled start date of the class. Notice of cancellation must be in writing and, if sent by mail, notice is effective when delivered or when postmarked. Electronic correspondence to the general MCAS email account is acceptable. Upon cancellation, if MCAS has provided the student any equipment, books, supplies or other materials, the student must return said materials to the school within 10 days following the date of the notice of cancellation. If the student fails to return materials in good condition within the 10-day period, the school may deduct its documented cost If cancellation occurs as required by this policy, the school will refund class fees, less $25.00 registration fee, and less any deduction for materials not properly returned on time and in good condition, within 30 days after your notice of cancellation is received.

ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER CLASS BEGINS. 

RETURNED CHECKS ARE SUBJECT TO A $20.00 HANDLING CHARGE.
