Job Development

If you are looking for a job or exploring a new career, the MCAS One Stop Career Center provides many excellent, employment and career development resources at one location! The One Stop provides current job postings, access to computers, job search reference materials, typing tutorials, typing certificates, ASSESS competency testing for computers, and many other services.

The MCAS Job Developer delivers workshops to help students with career choices and development, resumes, reference letters, employment portfolios, effective job searches, interviewing techniques, professional attire and behavior, and many other topics.

Through the efforts of the MCAS Job Developer, many outside companies come to the Career Center and hold Job Fairs where dozens of students are hired on the spot! Most recently, over 50 MCAS students have been hired by the U.S. Census.


Over 500 students come through the MCAS Career Center every year to receive services, so please come and let us know how we can help you!

To register for Career Center One Stop Services, it is mandatory to attend a Career Center Orientation. Orientation is available Mondays @ 1:00pm.

If you are a referral from WIOA, CalWorks, Department of Rehab or some other agency, please make an appointment with our Job Developer, Ms. Kati Chick. Call (626) 471-3052 to make an appointment.

Career Technical Education Programs

Learn new career skills and start a new career!

Monrovia Community Adult School offers numerous short-term vocational programs that help your earn certifications and give you the skills you need to start a new career. MCAS teachers are experienced professionals who share their industry knowledge to give you a solid foundation for success in a new profession. These teachers also have significant industry contacts and resources to ensure that students who successfully complete our vocational programs have a high rate of job attainment.

Academics & Arts Programs

In addition to our world class vocational programs, MCAS offers excellent Non-Technical Programs. Our English as a Second Language faculty is passionate, caring and committed to helping our students become proficient in English as quickly as possible. The MCAS Academic Lab offers a rigorous high school diploma program that prepares students for postsecondary education. Students seeking assistance with basic skills or test prep for the GED or HiSET can receive assistance from highly qualified instructors. And MCAS arts and crafts classes are taught by talented, successful artists.
