MCAS is thrilled to announce that the Monrovia America's Job Center of California (AJCC) Affiliate is now successfully moving into its second year of operations on our campus! This partnership serves as a vital, centralized workforce development resource for regional residents and local businesses alike.
Through a partnership with the Los Angeles County Workforce Development Board, the Department of Economic Opportunity, and the East San Gabriel Valley AJCC (ESGV AJCC), MCAS operates as a collocation site for the Monrovia AJCC Affiliate. Dedicated ESGV AJCC Case Managers are available on our campus Monday through Friday, providing comprehensive Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services designed to launch careers and strengthen the local economy.
Together, this partnership has produced outstanding results. Over the past year, nearly 400 job seekers visited the Monrovia AJCC Affiliate, with a significant portion enrolling for ongoing services. Our regional impact expanded further as dozens of students received critical funding for classroom technical training, and a robust cohort of local youth completed valuable paid employment through the Youth@Work program.
Whether you are a job seeker pursuing a new career or an employer searching for talent, we provide excellent resources. Alongside the MCAS Career Center Specialist, Case Managers offer workshops on resumes, interviewing, and critical soft skills. As part of the broader Los Angeles County AJCC system, businesses can leverage subsidized wages, access up-skill training, post open positions, and participate in our quarterly MCAS Job Fairs to retain highly qualified workers.
AJCC Case Managers are available by appointment at the MCAS Career Center and offer the following services:
