The MCAS Video and Television Production class focuses on the job of producing recorded television in a studio setting and live television on location. Students acquire the knowledge to prepare for the Adobe Certified Associate exam in Adobe Premiere Pro and the skills to prepare for a career in the television industry. Students produce recorded television programs that air on local television and serve as crew for events presented on live television. Students learn camera operations, TV utility work, lighting, directing, editing, ENG, studio maintenance, and many other skills.

Though this class is primarily intended for adults, the class is also open to high school students ages 16 and older. This class is available as a high school credit class, but students must attend at least 60 hours and complete all course learning objectives. Students must register for the class at their home high school. Also, STUDENTS MUST ENROLL AT THE MONROVIA COMMUNITY ADULT SCHOOL OFFICE BEFORE ATTENDING CLASS. Failure to enroll at the MCAS office could result in a student being barred from enrolling in the class at all.

Open registration is available to adults throughout the year.

Our English as a Second Language faculty is passionate, caring and committed to helping our students become proficient in English as quickly as possible. The MCAS Academic Lab offers a rigorous high school diploma program that prepares students for postsecondary education. Students seeking assistance with basic skills or test prep for the GED or HiSET can receive assistance from highly qualified instructors. And MCAS arts and crafts classes are taught by talented, successful artists.
