MCAS Medical Assisting is a 17 week program that introduces students to a career in medical services and helps students find employment at hospitals and doctors’ offices. Students extensively learn about the medical back office: injection procedures, sterilization, diagnostic testing, EKG, medications, examinations, minor surgery prep, among other skills.

The Medical Assisting program requires three courses in addition to the primary Medical Assisting course: Medical Terminology, Anatomy/Physiology, and Electronic Health Records. Students that seek to register after September 6 are encouraged to enroll in the next stand-alone course to accelerate progress in the MA program.

A pre-registration assessment is required. Call (626) 471-3035 for testing schedule.

Also, book purchase is required: Click here to purchase books. Try to order your book at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure you receive them by the class start date, although you can still attend the first class if your books have not arrived.
