This course instructs students in hand building, potter's wheel, glazing, firing, and marketing of finished work. Students from beginners to advanced will learn all aspects of ceramics, functional and sculptural, from highfire to raku. Students will need to purchase a basic tool kit, clay, and other materials -all of which will be available from the instructor. A lab fee of $10 will be collected at the first class session.
Students must register in advance either in person at the Monrovia Adult School main campus or via the MCAS website.

This course focuses on basic skills needed in jewelry fabrication. Students learn wire wrapping and linking, head pins, jump rings, sawing, texturing and cold joinery. Students will also learn to set a stone in a ring. Advanced students are also welcome to attend and use the lab to further develop their skills. Students are required to purchase tools (approx. $75), purchase materials (approx. $55), as well as pay a $5.00 lab fee (covers the 5 week period) for consumable materials. Most materials used in class will be available for purchase from the instructor.

Course sessions are five weeks long. If class does not hit minimum numbers, course hours are 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Learn basics of watercolor techniques. Paint a variety of subjects. Learn drawing, composition, color mixing, and perspective as it applies to water based media. Each meeting will include a demonstration and critique. Beginners to advanced welcomed. Bring your equipment and paint.
